One of the Canadian victims that died in Las Vegas at the hands of a shooter has a close family connection to Regina.
On Tuesday 34-year-old Tara Roe from Okotoks, Alberta was confirmed as the fourth person from Canada to have died in the shooting.
Her husband is Zach Roe, was born in Regina and was once a member of the Regina Pats. Zach played for the team from 1998 to 2002.
Former general manager and president of the Regina Pats Brent Parker tweeted out his condolences to the Roe family.
Heartbroken for one of my former players Zach Roe who lost his wife Tara in Las Vegas shooting Deepest condolences go to friends & family!

A GoFund Me page has been set up for Zach and the couple’s two young sons to cover expenses. The goal was to raise $100,000 and as of Tuesday night it had nearly reached that goal.
