Regina police have made an arrest in connection with an incident that happened at the Regina Provincial Court House in August.
On Aug. 22, three prisoners suffered apparent overdoses while in their cells at the courthouse. Luckily medical help was there and the three men survived.
Now, police have arrested a 20-year-old man in connection with the incident. He was arrested on Oct. 3.
Police allege the suspect made a hand-to-hand exchange of a substance with two of the prisoners. It was shortly after that that the three men showed signs of critical illness and EMS and police were called to the courthouse.
The suspect now faces charges of trafficking a scheduled substance (heroin) and breach of undertaking.
He made his first court appearance on Oct. 4.
