The Weyburn Comprehensive STARS Show Choir is getting a chance to take the stage with Foreigner.
The high school choir submitted a video that got the most votes online in Jack FM Regina’s contest, “I Wanna Know Who the Choir Is.”
The British and American band has 16 top 30 hits including rock anthems like “Feels Like the First Time,” “Juke Box Hero,” and the number one hit “I Want To Know What Love Is”.
The Weyburn choir beat out the Regina high school choirs from Campbell Collegiate and Sheldon Williams who also made the top three.
Singing on stage with a rock group that had radio hits decades before they were born is a chance these high school choir kids will likely remember for a long time.
They will join the band at the Conexus Arts Centre on the Regina stop of the 40th Anniversary tour on Monday, Oct. 16.
