The voters for the Saskatchewan Roughriders don’t have it easy to pick the Most Outstanding Player nominees for the 2017 team.
From Most Outstanding Player right on down to Most Outstanding Special Teams players there are multiple nominees that deserve consideration.
Duron Carter, Naaman Roosevelt, Willie Jefferson, Ed Gainey, Henoc Muamba and on and on the list goes.
It’s sign of how well this team has played as just that, a team. There is no run away superstar that steals the headlines.
The fact that every award comes with a decent debate also shows how well rounded the Riders are.
From offence to defence to special teams, all three phases have played solid football this season.
So outside of flipping a coin, I may take until the absolute final minute of our Sunday deadline to make my picks.
I don’t want to get it wrong, but with this team, I don’t think they care. One goal is all that should be on their minds right now.
