The Regina area is getting the first skiff of snow on the ground, just in time for Halloween.
Early Monday morning, the Highway Hotline showed icy conditions all around the Queen City, including Highway 1 west to Belle Plaine and east of Balgonie, along with Highway 11 north to Bethune.
Highways around Yorkton, Wynyard, Melfort, Tisdale, Weyburn and south of Swift Current were also wet and subject to freezing.
Conditions on the roads change fast so check the website for updates before heading out.
You might need to dig out the warm winter coats and gloves because it will be a colder start to the week than we have been used to so far.
The daytime high for Monday is expected to be -1 C with an overnight low of -6 C
The Halloween forecast could see some “snowsuit princesses” according to Weather Network meteorologist Dayna Vettesse. The high for Tuesday is just a few degrees, dropping to freezing in the evening with a chance of rain showers or snow.
