Regina police are charging two young girls following a traffic stop on Nov. 7.
Police attempted to stop a vehicle after it was reported stolen. Two girls inside the car evaded police.
Police would later find the car abandoned on the 1700 block of Greer Court.
Two girls, 12 and 14, were identified by police and found on a Regina transit bus.
Police would also find stolen credit cards on one of the girls.
The two were arrested without incident and were held overnight before their first court date the following day.
The two girls cannot be named under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
The 12-year-old was charged with possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000, fraud under $5,000 and theft of a motor vehicle.
The 14-year-old is charged with possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000, fraud under $5,000, theft of a motor vehicle, flight while pursued by a peace officer, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, mischief under $5,000, obstructing a peace officer and failure to comply with undertaking.
