Jamie Nye: Semi-final picks – Nye vs. a nickel

The East and West Semi Finals has odd makers scratching their heads.

Both games have a betting line of a field goal or less — and there is a reason. These games are nothing short of coin flips, so here are my picks and the picks of the coin. Heads will be home team… Tails Away.

For the Eskimos and Bombers: I’ve got the Eskimos. The questionable health of Matt Nichols adds doubt the Bombers can get it done against the hottest team in the CFL.

The Coin? Tails — Edmonton.

Now to Saskatchewan and Ottawa: I’m picking the Roughriders to win because of energetic defence and an offence that will do just enough to edge the Redblacks.

The Coin? Heads — Ottawa.

So there, the nickel picks Ottawa and Edmonton.
