A 24-year-old man was arrested following a weapons investigation in Regina.
The man is now facing weapons related charges after he was arrested on the 600 block of McIntosh Street on Nov 16.
Police confirmed around 12:30 p.m. they received a call about a man entering a home with a firearm. It’s believed the man was known to the people in the residence.
Police were then lead to another residence in the 4600 block of 4th Avenue. That’s where the man was taken into custody and police would recover a firearm.
While police conducted their investigation, a school in the neighbourhood was put into secure-the-building mode as a precaution despite it being the end of the school day. Staff and school resource officers made sure students were dismissed safely.
The 24-year-old made his first court appearance in Provincial Court on Friday afternoon.
