One man is facing charges after a high-risk search warrant was executed in Regina’s Cathedral neighbourhood on Nov. 16.
The search warrant was executed on the 2000 block of Princess Street as investigators believed firearms were present at the home. SWAT, canine and Crisis Negotiators were called in to help.
Around 4:30 p.m. seven people were taken into custody, two women and five men. Police then searched the home and found dozens of rounds of ammunition, a small quantity of what’s believed to be methamphetamine and items believed to be used for drug trafficking.
After police conducted a further investigation, six people were released and a 30-year-old man was charged.
The Regina man is facing two charges of possession of ammunition contrary to prohibition and one count of breach of undertaking.
