I’m heading to my 10th Grey Cup and I’m just as excited as I was for my first.
You see, it is a five-day party around Canada’s three down, quirky, entertaining game. It almost seems as patriotic as celebrating Canada Day on July 1.
You have fans from every corner of the CFL, even some still coming in from Baltimore with their Stallions gear. Atlantic Schooner fans will be there from Halifax, likely even more excited now that a Maritimes team could be closer than ever to becoming a reality.
For me, you see the media members that become your friends all with a common interest and common backgrounds.
It’s the same with the players, coaches, managers and even player agents who are all there to celebrate the game that employs them and game that gave them all a chance at a professional football career.
If you’ve never been to one, especially one out of Saskatchewan, go, enjoy.
You’ll feel right at home because after all we are all part of the CFL family and this week every year is one heck of a family reunion.
