London’s Oxford Circus subway station has reopened after a large-scale security alert saw it evacuated amid reports of gunfire Friday afternoon.
U.K. Metropolitan police issued a news release explaining that they received many calls reporting shots fired at several locations around the biggest shopping street in London including the underground station.
Shortly after conducting an urgent search of the area, police said they found no trace of any suspects or casualties and no evidence shots had been fired.
