Now the CFL rumour season begins.
At Grey Cup the most asked question to me from members of the media and fans and even some players was who is going to be the quarterback in Saskatchewan next year?
It would create quite the debate regarding the ability of Brandon Bridge, the future of Kevin Glenn as well as if current Eskimo James Franklin will follow Chris Jones to Saskatchewan or if other teams will guarantee him what he wants, which is first string reps.
But that question wasn’t only being asked of myself as there are QB questions in B.C., Ottawa, Hamilton, Montreal and even Toronto if Ricky Ray rides off into the sunset.
Mike Reilly, Bo Levi Mitchell and Matt Nichols were the only quarterbacks that seemed like a guarantee to return to their number one job.
There is a coaching decision to be made in Montreal as Kavis Reed may look at defensive coordinators from Toronto and Calgary to fill the void as Corey Chamblin and Devone Claybrooks appear to be the in-league favourites.
Right now, there are always more questions than answers but that just is more reason to enjoy the off-season.
