The Eagles will play at Mosaic Stadium as part of the Memorial Cup celebrations next year.
The official announcement was made Monday by Regina Mayor Michael Fougere and organizing committee chair Shaun Semple.
The stadium event will be held in conjunction with the opening ceremonies for the 2018 MasterCard Memorial Cup, which is being held in the city from May 17-27.
Tickets for the show go on sale to the general public through Ticketmaster on Monday, Dec. 11, at 10 a.m.
Pre-sale is offered to corporate sponsors and MasterCard cardholders, and will take place Wednesday, Dec. 6, at 10 a.m. As an added bonus, ticket holders from February’s Homecoming Weekend Outdoor Hockey event will also be able to take part in the pre-sale.
The Eagles are one of the biggest bands of all-time, with over 150 million records sold.
Frontman Glenn Frey died in January 2016 and it wasn’t certain the band would continue to tour.
However, two concerts were held this year with country star Vince Gill and Frey’s son, Deacon, as part of the line-up.
