Murray Wood: It's time to pull over reckless people on scooters, bikes
Murray Wood says he's had too many close calls with people on scooters, bikes and skateboards. But he's never seen them ...
A broken down vehicle on the side of the highway in frigid temperatures could be a recipe for disaster.
But it doesn’t have to be if drivers travelling for Christmas prepare themselves.
CAA Saskatchewan CEO Fred Titanich reminds drivers of the obvious but sometimes forgotten: have a charged cell phone in case a call for help is needed.
He assured any stranded drivers that CAA crews will be out and ready.
“We’ve been doing this for 100 years, we operate 24/7, we have contractors all over the province, so we got you covered,” said Titanich.
Besides a charged phone, he recommends having an emergency kit in the vehicle.
That should contain items like a blanket, booster cables, extra warm clothes, a shovel and something to eat and drink.
