The City of Regina is once again hosting its Treecycle depots so people have somewhere to take their tree, which is then turned into nutrient-rich compost.
The depots open 24 hours starting Wednesday until New Year’s Eve at several locations:
All decorations should be removed from the tree, which must be taken out of the disposal bag, before being put in the bin.
Last year, 32 tonnes of natural Christmas trees collected at the depots were composted at a local facility.
