An early morning fire destroyed several barns and thousands of chickens at a poultry farm near Regina Beach Wednesday.
Lumsden RCMP and the Regina Beach Fire Department were called out at 7 a.m. to respond to a fire involving multiple structures at Pedigree Poultry Farm.

Early reports from police indicate there were several thousand chickens housed in the barns.
RCMP are investigating the cause of the fire along with the provincial fire scene examiner.
There is no official word on the extent of the damage.
