Regina police were kept busy Saturday night as they tried to bring a stolen vehicle to a stop.
Police said a 22-year-old woman called police around 11:25 p.m. to report her car had been stolen at Vaughan Avenue.
The police spotted the vehicle a number of times but were not in a position to stop it safely.
Using On-Star technology, police were able to determine the vehicle came to a stop in an allety of the 1500 block of Athol Street , near Dewdney pool.
A perimeter was set up by police. The vehicle began to move again and collided with a police vehicle, reversed and crashed through a fence and leaving the area.
Police were able to find the vehicle again and bring it to a stop on the 2300 block of 14th Avenue.
Two people, a 25-year-old woman and 23-year-old man, were arrested and charged around 1 a.m. Sunday.
Further investigation revealed the victim initially allowed the two people into her vehicle but then asked them to get out.
It is alleged that the 22-year-old woman was prevented from leaving the vehicle, was assaulted before being pulled out of the car.
Both suspects made their first court appearances on Monday.
