Regina police are investigating an early morning collision after a woman holding a child was hit by a vehicle and had to be taken to hospital.
Officers were dispatched to the 1900 block of Truesdale Drive, near Gardiner Park, around 8:17 a.m. Friday morning.
The early investigation by police indicated a 43-year-old woman, who was carrying a two-year-old child, was crossing Truesdale Drive from the north to the south side.
As she was crossing, she was hit by a vehicle travelling westbound on Truesdale.
The driver remained on the scene and provided assistance to the woman and child.
Both were transported to hospital with undetermined injuries.
A section of Truesdale Drive, from Ehman Bay to University Park Drive, was closed for a few hours but has since been reopened.
Police continue to gather information from the scene and witnesses.
