Two Moose Jaw police officers were doused with bear spray early Sunday morning.
Just after 1 a.m., while patrolling the 0 block of First Ave NW, officers noticed a man who was spraying members of the public with bear spray.
When the 23-year-old was confronted by the officers, he sprayed two of them and then took off on foot.
Following a short pursuit and a brief struggle, the man was arrested and taken into custody.
The two officers doused with bear spray, and a third officer, were all treated at hospital for minor injuries, while two members of the public were treated by EMS on the scene and one was taken to hospital.
The suspect, from Moose Jaw, is charged with two counts of assault on police with a weapon, two counts of assault with a weapon, assault on a police officer, resisting arrest and three breaches of a court order.
He will make his first court appearance on Monday.
