Three men are facing separate charges after an assault on two women outside a bar in north Regina.
At 2:12 a.m. Saturday morning, police were called to respond to a report of an assault in progress outside the Barley Mill on Rochdale Boulevard
While officers were on route, they pulled over an SUV turning southbound on McCarthy Boulevard which was reported to be fleeing from the scene.
Police said the driver and two passengers inside the SUV were reported to be intoxicated and one had blood on his hands and clothing.
Officers also conducted a search of the second passenger and found a substance which tested positive for cocaine.
Another police unit responded to the two female victims, who described a verbal altercation earlier in the evening which escalated into an assault when they left the bar.
Both women had injuries to their faces consistent with being hit. Police said neither of the victims required immediate medical attention at the scene.
Nathaniel Kay, 21, is facing two charges of assault.
Tyson Bitternose, also 21, is charged with impaired driving. Twenty-year-old Brandon Gajewski is charged with possession of cocaine.
All three men appeared in provincial court Monday morning and were released on bail conditions until their next court appearance on March 1.
