Regina police are conducting an investigation into the death of a 27-year-old man which is the city’s first murder of the year.
Police were dispatched around 8:26 p.m. Tuesday to the 1000 block of Retallack Street for a report of an injured man outside of a home.
When police and EMS arrived, the man was found and was confirmed to be dead. Officers secured the area and requested additional resources including Major Crimes and Forensic Identification units and the Coroner.
The man killed was identified as Richard Francis Paul Bear. His family has been notified.
No one has been charged and the investigation is continuing.
