Regina police have charged a 30-year-old Regina man after a weekend hit-and-run.
Police were called to the intersection of Dewdney Avenue and Lewvan Drive early Sunday morning for a report of a two-vehicle crash.
Early investigation indicated a taxi was stopped at a red light northbound on Lewvan Drive. According to police, the cab was struck from behind by a northbound truck, which pushed the taxi into the intersection. The truck fled the scene before police arrived.
A witness was able to help police locate the suspected truck and person driving. The man faces several charges including impaired driving causing bodily harm, exceed .08 causing bodily harm, failure to remain at the scene of a crash, resisting arrest, and possession of marijuana.
The 30-year-old will appear in provincial court on March 8, 2018.
