Two men from Regina are facing charges after a bear spray incident outside the Cornwall Centre Tuesday morning.
Police received the call about an altercation between a group of men around 10 a.m. It was then a 31-year-old man was squirted with bear spray.
A 30-year-old man was taken into custody soon after. At the time of his arrest, officers found a knife, but the bear spray used in the incident was never recovered.
When paramedics arrived to help the 31-year-old squirted with bear spray, they found a knife on him as well. Once he was treated by EMS, he was arrested for carrying a concealed weapon.
While spending time in police cells, officers discovered one man gave them a fake name. Once he was identified, they uncovered he was the subject of an arrest warrant for breach of statutory release. He was then also charged with obstruction.
Both men will make their first appearances in provincial court on Wednesday morning.
