Fans of The Bachelor had the chance to hear some Saskatchewan talent on the latest episode of the show during one of the dates.
Weyburn country singer Tenille Arts performed her original song My Weakest Moment on the popular ABC reality show Monday night.
In an interview with the 980 CJME Morning Show Wednesday, Arts described the response as overwhelmingly positive.
“It’s been really good. You know, sometimes there’s mixed reviews with people who might not have ever heard my music before and they go ‘who is this girl,’” she said. “But so far it’s been way more positive comments and it’s just been really nice to be able to connect with some new fans.”
Arts is also seeing an immediate impact of the exposure on music charts, with the song hitting number seven on iTunes in Canada and breaking the top 20 for country music on iTunes in the U.S. Her full album jumped into the top 20 and cracked the top 100 across all music genres.
“I maybe expected people to check out the song just after seeing it on the show, but the fact that they’re actually buying it and then they’re going and finding my other music and actually buying my album is really cool,” Arts commented.
She explained the song she performed on the show is not actually on her album Rebel Child, but it has now been released as a single.
When asked what is next, she said she will be announcing a new compilation of songs to be released very soon.
