Everybody loves an upset, unless of course you’re a Patriots fan.
As Super Bowl 52 started to get into its latter stages I couldn’t help but wonder here we go again.
The New England Patriots had trailed for the entire game until the fourth quarter and it just started to feel like deja vu all over again, with the likelihood that the Patriots were on their way to their 6th Super Bowl championship.
But it took Nick Foles and the Philadelphia Eagles defence to mount a winning drive and then sack the greatest of all time, stripping loose the ball to make us all believe that maybe… just maybe… the dynasty of the Patriots and Belichick and Brady is over.
If it is. What a legacy. None that will likely ever be matched.
We can all be grateful we were able to witness the greatest coach and quarterback tandem in the history of football.
But I’ll be equally grateful that the Patriots were losers on Super Bowl Sunday.
