Council retroactively slashed $1.33 million in rent owed by the Roughriders.

An exact quote from union boss Tony Clark is that teams are “threatening the very integrity of our game.”
Why?
Well you see baseball got a lot stiffer on teams who go over the luxury tax line and really teams that were going over the luxury tax line weren’t winning.
Some are starting to believe there could be collusion to try to bring down salaries in Major League Baseball, but Clark goes on to say teams racing to the bottom is a fundamental breach of trust between a team and its fans.
