Regina’s Explosive Disposal Unit responded to two unrelated calls Thursday.
People were being told to stay away from the Central Park area in Regina as police investigate a strong chemical odour.
The Explosive Disposal Unit was called to a home on the 2000 block of 14th Avenue around 11:30 a.m., as they investigate a possible health hazard.
The scene is now clear and the hazmat unit took out a suspicious package to be investigated. There was nothing unusual about the contents of the package and there was no threat to the public.
The unit was called to the downtown area for an unrelated matter earlier Thursday.
Police said it proved not to be a threat to the public.
