It’s interesting when the best comes out in people and for the past two days snowstorms did just that.
As roads were clogged with snow, so were people in vehicles, having a hard time getting through.
Sunday night at the Brier in Regina, many were out pushing strangers out of their own snowy car graves to make sure people didn’t get stranded.
I don’t drive the biggest vehicle. In fact, it’s one of the smallest and the only time I got stuck was at home… just feet from my driveway coming home from the Brier and within seconds — I’m serious….seconds — someone appeared to help push for those final few feet.
One neighbour blew out snow from my driveway so I could get in.
I know someone who said they met more neighbours in the last two days helping each other out of their street than they have in four years.
I guess what I’m trying to say is. It’s too bad it doesn’t snow like this more often. It brings out the best in people.
