Saskatchewan Roughriders season tickets are now available.
It’s the first time in three seasons the CFL team has extra season tickets for sale.
Two years ago the Roughriders were closing Taylor Field, so everyone wanted to be in attendance for the historic season.
Last year, the Roughriders moved into state-of-the-art Mosaic Stadium, so again it was an historic season and the team easily sold its quota of season tickets.
Full houses have been the norm since the Grey Cup-winning drive of 2007. Even moreso since 2013, the magical campaign that saw the Roughriders march to a home-town Grey Cup victory.
Perhaps the euphoria of Grey Cups, the history of an old stadium and the euphoria of a new stadium are wearing off, leaving some vacant seats.
Tickets at the new stadium are darned expensive. Still, according to the Riders’ website there are no season tickets available in the top-priced gold sections, just in the cheaper sections near the end zones.
Another run for a Grey Cup will fill those seats, too.
