Regina police officers surrounded a home on McIntyre Street between First Avenue North and Second Avenue North for several hours on Thursday morning during a standoff.
The Special Weapons and Tactics Team (SWAT) and crisis negotiators were also called to the house.
Just after 10 a.m. a man came out of the house with one hand in the air and the other holding a phone to his ear. The man complied with police officers and was taken into custody.
McIntyre Street between Second Avenue North and First Avenue North was closed off for a period of time.
Shortly before 11:30 a.m., police said they had cleared the scene and a criminal investigation is underway.
