Man charged after trying to cash stolen cheque

A Regina man is facing charges following a break and enter and trying to cash a stolen cheque.
On Feb. 26 a man entered a cash advance lender trying to cash a cheque that was reported stolen from a previous break and enter.
The employee refused to cash it and the man left.
Then on March 6, police received a call about a break and enter at a business on the 3400 block of 13th Avenue sometime between March 4 and March 6.
The investigation lead to the arrest of a 35-year-old Regina man.
The stolen cheque was found in his possession when he was arrested.
Now the man is charged with break and enter, possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000, possession of a forged document with intent and three counts of failure to comply.
He made his first court appearance at Regina Provincial Court on April 18.
