The $1.33M rent reduction comes from what the club owed during seasons impacted by the pandemic.
RCMP are investigating the suspicious deaths of two people at the Midway Restaurant and Bar in Midale.
Mounties from Weyburn and Estevan arrived on scene shortly after 8:30 a.m. on Friday to investigate.
Brian Derbyshire was driving by the scene along Highway 39 just before 11 a.m. when he noticed yellow police tape wrapped around the restaurant.
“It was right across the doorway and I think it even extended further than that,” he described. “There were several police cars in front of the restaurant with their lights all flashing — marked and unmarked vehicles — and there was an ambulance off to the side looking like it was waiting for something.”
Police don’t believe there is a risk to public safety.
The victims have not been identified.
Midale is located approximately 160 kilometres southeast of Regina.
