A 21-year-old man is in hospital after being hit by a vehicle while riding his bike late Thursday night in east Regina.
Regina police officers were called out shortly before midnight to an area near the bypass on Arcola Avenue East for a report of a cyclist being struck by a vehicle.
The cyclist was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
Police had the westbound lanes of Arcola Avenue blocked off between University Park Drive and the northbound on-ramp to Ring Road for several hours to collect evidence. The roads were reopened to traffic as of early Friday morning.
There is no indication of any potential charges to be laid at this point, but police say the investigation is ongoing.
