A house fire claimed the lives of two people early Thursday morning in Carnduff.
RCMP along with Carnduff Fire and Rescue members arrived around 2 a.m. on Baglole Crescent where they found two houses on fire.
Two bodies were found inside one of the homes. The provincial chief coroner and a forensic team from Yorkton are working on the investigation.
While police are not giving any other information about the victims, a GoFundMe page set up by a family friend says a 24-year-old man and his four-year-old daughter were killed in the fire. The girl’s mother is reported to be recovering in the hospital.
RCMP members and the Provincial Fire Examiner are investigating the cause of the fire.
Carnduff is in southeast Saskatchewan near Estevan.
