Hockey fans were up in arms about the NHL’s decision not to allow their players in the Olympics.
We missed Connor McDavid and other stars not suiting up for their countries. And we are seeing now what we missed.
Or are you even paying attention?
McDavid has been stellar for the Canadians and has scored unreal goals and yesterday’s set up of the overtime winner was fantastic. He feathered a pass through the legs of a sprawling Russian defender onto the stick of Ryan O’Reilly who just had to make sure his stick was on the ice to deflect the puck in the net.
It’s too bad the World Hockey Championships have better rosters than the Olympic hockey tournament.
Hopefully, with the Olympics in China in four years, there is a change of heart between the IOC and the NHL to cut a deal to get them there.
