980 CJME has been recognised with a prestigious Radio Television Digital News Association national award this weekend.
The Byron MacGregor Award for Best Radio Newscast National medium market was handed out at a gala in Toronto attended by 980 CJME news and program director Murray Wood.
The newscast awarded was from the coverage the morning after the windstorm and fires that forced evacuations of towns last fall.
Andrew Dawson anchored comprehensive coverage from reporters on the scene of the evacuations as well as assessing damage in Regina and other parts of Saskatchewan as the windstorm blew through.
