Two young men are being charged after five people allegedly broke into a home before hitting a woman in the leg with a baseball bat and stealing medication in Canora, Sask.
The incident happened shortly before midnight on Thursday.
RCMP said five suspects forced their way into a home wearing face masks and carrying baseball bats. One of the two women inside the home was struck on the leg with a bat while trying to call police. She was treated for her injuries by EMS on scene.
The suspects stole a small amount of medication and then left the home shortly after police were called.
A search warrant was executed at a home in Canora and evidence related to the crime was recovered.
Two boys were arrested and appeared in Yorkton Provincial Court on Monday.
Their names cannot be released under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
