Jamie Nye: TSN is just fine promoting Manziel over Masoli

TSN is doing well promoting tonight’s CFL preseason game between the Toronto Argonauts and Hamilton Tiger-Cats.

They used a photo of Ricky Ray and Johnny Manziel and there is one thing wrong with that — Ricky Ray won’t play.

But Twitter was abuzz last night that TSN was somehow disrespectful to Jeremiah Masoli by putting Johnny Manziel’s photo in the promo.

Really?

Disrespectful?

Tonight’s preseason game is only meaningful for one thing: Johnny Manziel.

That will be the only reason I’ll be tuning in. I’ll see Jeremiah Masoli week one, this may be the only time for weeks and maybe months we get to see Manziel actually throw a football in the CFL.

Reports from camp, especially coach June Jones, have been positive about Manziel but now we all get to see.

So save the hurt feelings for Masoli, TSN is doing their job focusing on the biggest storyline of the CFL off-season.
