A 21-year-old man has been charged after allegedly carrying a fake gun near Regina’s downtown public library Saturday afternoon.
Around 12:45 p.m., police said they were called to the 2300 block of 12th Avenue after a witness called in about a man putting a handgun in the waist of his pants.
When officers got to the scene, they arrested the man and located a black plastic toy handgun near him.
The man has now been charged with carrying a concealed weapon and failing to comply with undertaking.
He’ll make his first court appearance on Monday.
