There’s still time for Regina residents to voice their concerns when it comes to parking at Evraz Place.
The company released a survey a few weeks ago as a start to a new parking plan.
Shalyn Kivela with Evraz Place spoke with the 980 CJME Morning Show Wednesday. She said they often have many events at the same time and as a result, it takes a minimum of 30 minutes to get 3,500 cars off of the property.
They designed the survey to get community feedback on parking experiences.
So far, over 30 per cent of participants said they’ve had negative parking experiences. About half of those participants say exit wait times have decreased their likelihood of going to future events.
She said parking concerns are genuine.
“It’s not something we’re hiding, it’s not something we’re making an excuse about and we honestly really, truly want to do better,” Kivela said.
Also with year two kicking off at Mosaic Stadium, she said everyone should take advantage of the free transit services to and from games.
Alternatively, people can get dropped off or park offsite and walk.
Onsite parking is only available with a parking pass.
