A section of power poles outside Coronach were no match for Mother Nature during a severe storm Monday evening.
Pictures shared on social media show the damage caused by what is believed to be a plow wind.

“There’s 65 poles to replace, they’re extensively damaged, you’ve seen the pictures, I think matchstick is probably an accurate description there,” explained Jordan Jackle who handles media relations for SaskPower.
He noted there are 30 crews, including some contractors, working in the area to repair the lines and replace the poles. They are aiming to be finished by Saturday.
Jackle also noted this particular power line is only connected to one customer — the Westmore Coal Poplar River Mine.
