A sure sign summer is around the corner — the city’s outdoor pools are set to open this week.
The Dewdney, Maple Leaf and Massey pools open Thursday.
Both the Dewdney and Maple Leaf locations have free admission. Every other pool is free between 7 and 8 p.m.
The Wascana location will open its doors on June 22.
Something new this year are the upgrades to the Regent outdoor pool, which will open on June 28. The city invested money into making it more accessible by adding a ramp for easier access into the pool.
Along with the pools, the city’s splash pads are now open from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. until Sept. 16. There is the chance splash pads could close, just like the pools, if the weather were to make for unsafe conditions.
The city’s recreation website is a great resource for all the summer activity’s children can take part in.
