If Saskatchewan Roughrider Zach Collaros can return to his all-star form this season, his play will do more than just help the Riders win a few games.
The veteran quarterback, who is entering his first season in Regina, will be making donations to mâmawêyatitân centre in the city’s North Central neighbourhood.
He will donate one dollar for every passing yard, as well as $100 for every touchdown throughout the season.
“I am excited to be able to give back to the city and community that supports our team so strongly,” stated Collaros in a news release. “The mâmawêyatitân centre is a remarkable facility offering youth great programming, assisting them to increase recreational opportunities is a positive motivator.”
The Mosaic Company will also match any donation from Collaros.
The mâmawêyatitân centre opened nearly a year ago, in September 2017.
The space is shared between a variety of different organizations including the City of Regina, Regina Public Schools, Regina Police Service, Regina Public Library and the North Central Community Association.
