White Butte RCMP have confirmed one man is dead following a collision early Sunday morning.
In a news release, Mounties said a 24-year-old man was hit by an eastbound vehicle on Highway 1 near White City.
Investigators said the man was a pedestrian.
Shortly after 4 a.m., the highway was closed in both directions for the investigation.
After about five hours, the highway re-opened to traffic.
The investigation into the collision continues.
