The debate on the Green Zone had two opinions on the news NFL Hall of Famer Terrell Owens was added to the Edmonton Eskimos negotiation list.
Glen Suitor was clear, that this is another reason for people to kick the league and use it as ammo on how much a joke the CFL is for having a 44-year old receiver, who hasn’t caught a pass in pro football since 2011 in the Indoor Football League.
Rob Vanstone on the other hand, was fine with it. Let’s have a little fun and see what the old dog can do if he wants to play in the CFL.
For me. I just don’t get it. My biggest question is why? The Eskimos could place a sophomore quarterback in college that is mobile and has a live arm to the negotiation list and see how he develops or an NFL player on the bubble who could come in a be a dynamic defensive end.
Why a 44-year old, egomaniac like Terrell Owens?
It’s not a negative for the league but leads to questioning Eskimos GM Brock Sunderland’s neg. list management.
