The newest building for Souls Harbour Rescue Mission in Regina is getting some help from corporate Saskatchewan.
Mosaic Company is donating $150,000 over the next three years to help build the dining hall in the mission’s new building.
It’s being put up on Angus Street in North Central next to Souls Harbour’s existing Harbour House.
“Food services are at the core of who we are and what we do, and so we’re very excited,” said Joe Miller, executive director with Souls Harbour. “One-hundred and fifty thousand dollars is a significant donation.”
Miller said Mosaic is all about food.
“So, for them to come to us and be a sponsor in the food portion of this project just seems like a natural fit.”
Souls Harbour’s new building will have a free clothing store, soup kitchen and dining hall, daycare, and rooms for the “hard to house”.
It’s expected to be finished by this winter.
