RCMP say a woman from the Melville area was kidnapped Thursday and forced to make a two-hour drive to Regina at gunpoint.
The woman was reportedly home alone on a rural property around 1:30 p.m. when a strange man armed with a gun stolen from inside the house demanded to be driven to Regina.
When they arrived in the city, the suspect allegedly forced the woman to take him to a house where he then left the vehicle. Police said the victim then managed to drive away unhurt and call 911.
Police described the suspect as Indigenous, standing about five feet 10 inches tall with a slim build. He was reportedly wearing black pants and a black Regina Riot hoodie with “defence” written in white on the front.
