People in the southwest corner of the province can brace for another very hot day Tuesday.
Environment Canada has issued heat warnings for Cypress Hills, Val Marie, Maple Creek and Shaunavon as well as Leader and Gull Lake.
Temperatures in the southwest are expected to reach 34 C on Tuesday. The heat is also expected to stay for a couple of days before a weak cold front provides relief with cooler air on Wednesday night.
The City of Lloydminster is also under a heat warning for a second day as daytime highs continue to hit above 29 C and the overnight lows don’t fall below 14 C.
The area around Pelican Narrows, Cumberland House and Creighton in the northeastern part of the province is also under a heat warning. The temperatures are expected to cool down on Thursday.
