On Tuesday the Riders were called out by the head coach and veteran offensive lineman Brendon LaBatte.
But a comment from LaBatte is a curious one when he said the team being called out on poor practice habits has been a long time coming.
So how long? And why hasn’t head coach Chris Jones addressed this earlier?
Of course, maybe he didn’t notice as quickly as others as it appears it’s more the offence than the defence who need to step up.
LaBatte added they can’t even execute simple plays from day one. Will someone please step up and lead this offence? Stephen McAdoo, Brandon Bridge, Naaman Roosevelt? Anyone?
It’s hard for an offensive lineman to take control.
Chris Jones runs a tight ship on defence. That’s where he spends the majority of his time during practice and it shows up on the field.
They are well prepared and have been the far superior unit between the two.
On offence, you have to start to really wonder if anybody has a tight grip on the wheel.
