Two people were sent to hospital after a crash between a police cruiser and a small red car at the corner of Park St. and Dewdney Ave early Thursday morning.
Police did not provide information regarding any injuries to the drivers of both vehicles.
The intersection was closed to traffic for about two hours between 4:30 a.m. and 6:30 a.m. as police officers investigated the scene. Both vehicles were towed away and streets were reopened by 6:30 a.m.
The front end of the police vehicle was damaged and the passenger side doors of the red car were crushed. Both vehicles came to rest beside the traffic lights by the Co-op Gas Station on the west side of the intersection.
